Position Overview:
The Boston Whaler Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for providing leadership and business understanding to a team non-exempt maintenance employee. The supervisor position is the first step in the leadership ladder that has business ownership and accountability of producing the highest quality products that meet our internal customer expectations while contributing to the reliability and maintainability of equipment. To be successful in this role, the supervisor will need to be able to work collaboratively cross-functionally and with others at all levels of the organization, while also maintaining effective relationships with outside vendors. Essential Functions:
- Responsible for maintaining and understanding Key Performance Indicators through root cause analysis and action planning, metrics will be developed with Facilities and Maintenance Manager.
- Eliminate non-value-added work that will lead to reducing our manufacturing cost structure.
- Develop and implement process improvements that will drive critical metrics in the safety, quality, delivery and cost categories including but not limited to a robust preventative and predictive maintenance program
- Select and develop employees in order to achieve our goals and objectives.
- Ensure products are produced with the highest quality and meet engineering specifications.
- Ensure communications are accurate and timely and reach all employees in the supervisor’s area of responsibility across all shifts
- Utilize and maintain leader standard work
- Maintain employees' time and attendance records.
- Evaluate employee performance.
- Administer disciplinary actions in accordance with Company Policy.
- Each area will have a scope of responsibility document that will expand on a specific supervisor’s area of responsibility
- Related duties as assigned as assigned by Facilities and Maintenance Manager

Required Qualifications:
- Experience in maintenance operations strongly preferred
- Previous supervisory experience preferred; leadership experience required
- Working knowledge of PC based software (Word & Excel).
- Willingness to work with all maintenance shifts as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Yellow Belt or similar LSS training class preferred
- Some higher education preferred
Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
The anticipated pay range for this position is $57,700 to $92, 600 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
