The PW1500G / PW1900G/ PW800 Customer Technical Service (CTS) department is seeking an individual to join our team of highly skilled engineers in East Hartford, CT. Our focus is to manage and resolve technical issues for PW1500G / PW1900G/ PW800 hot section hardware in order to ensure engine safety and to maintain competitive advantage relative to operational parameters such as Delays and Cancellations (D&C’s), In-Flight-Shut-Down (IFSD) rate, reduction of maintenance burden, etc. 

The successful candidate will lead a team of CTS hardware engineers to resolve current and emerging customer technical issues and direct the technical communications with airlines and overhaul shops.

What You Will Do

  • Manage the performance and development of a team of hardware engineers who are responsible for the Diffuser/Combustor, High Pressure Turbine (HPT), Turbine Intermediated Case (TIC) and specific engine externals
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the Program Office, Customer Field Directors (CFDs), Component Integrated Product Teams (CIPTs), regulatory authorities, technical publications, field service representatives, Customer Service Managers and program partners to assess, plan and implement technical and logistic fleet management solutions.
  • Support safety risk assessment and execute field actions assigned by Safety Review Board.
  • Implement process improvements to achieve / exceed EagleNet case metrics associated with on-time delivery of technical case responses and Turn Around Time for both AOG and non-AOG events.
  • Approve the release of technical communications / Service Bulletins and other documents such as Engineering Changes, Engineering Authorizations and Technical Data Packages.
  • Coordinate data development with the PW800 program and in-service engineering teams
  • Assist in MRO and On-wing cost and maintenance burden reductions tasks.
  • Support customer meetings, calls and conferences by creating and delivering presented material.
  • Up to 10% travel

Qualifications We Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
  • 10 years of experience in engineering or aerospace with a bachelor’s degree, or 7 years with an advanced degree
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Working knowledge of PW1500G / PW1900G hot section hardware
  • Supervision/leadership of a team of professional employees
  • Demonstrated leadership in engineering continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.
  • Direct knowledge and experience dealing with commercial airline customers & MROs.
