MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
A high school diploma or its equivalent and one (1) year of experience in environmental protection, regulation, or health; one of the physical or natural sciences; agriculture; or engineering; or
A high school diploma or its equivalent and six (6) months of experience as an Environmental Specialist I or higher with the State of Florida; or
A bachelor's degree (4 years) from an accredited college or university.
Requires possession of a valid Class E driver license.

Foreign trained graduates utilizing a degree attained outside of the United States to meet the minimum requirements of a position must be prepared to provide a copy of a credential evaluation conducted by an Approved Credential Evaluation Agency. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position’s headquarters is negotiable within Bay, Calhoun, Franklin, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson, Liberty, Walton, and Washington Counties. The working territory for this position is Bay, Gulf, and Washington counties.
Must reside in the working territory counties or negotiated headquarters county throughout employment in this position.
The incumbent of this position is considered to have regulatory responsibilities and is subject to the provisions of Chapter 60L-36, F.A.C.
Must obtain restricted-use pesticide license within six months of initial employment and must maintain licensure thereafter.
Will be subject to the requirements of the proper use of appropriate respirator and/or self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and must pass post-employment physical examinations to determine medical fitness for respirator and/or SCBA use.
