Senior Developer

Position Summary 
Metrea’s Platform Technology Team is searching for a results-oriented Senior Developer with .NET, API, conversion scripts, and SQL development experience specific to ERP, Supply Chain, and Maintenance business applications. Aerospace industry experience would be ideal. Primary responsibilities are focused development/support of system interfaces (APIs), custom system features, and BI dashboards/reports. The position will require a strong technical background and good understanding of business processes, coupled with the ability to interact with all levels of personnel.  Work will primarily be remote, but minimal travel may be required.

Essential Functions Statement:

• Participate in project planning activities, especially as it relates to scoping of new development initiatives
• Work closely with project team and end users, in order to gather information specific to interfaces, conversions, enhancement needs, and BI dashboards/reports needs
• Creation of technical specifications
• Table/field level mapping between systems required to develop interfaces and conversion scripts
• Development and support of interfaces (including APIs) between our ERP system and aircraft flight operations, logistics, and maintenance systems, along with integrations with third party solutions
• Development of conversion scripts, when required
• Development of custom code that is scalable and extendable
• Development of SQL views to support Power BI dashboards/reports
• Debugging production issues

• Expertise in interface and API development, including Rest/JSON, SOAP/XML, and file transfers via SFTP

• Experienced in Power BI report development would be a plus
• Experienced in architecting custom solutions
• Ability to create technical specifications and documentation
• Microsoft Synapse expertise would be a plus 
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong experience in implementing packaged and/or custom systems
• Experience in supply chain, maintenance, and project accounting systems, would be a plus
• Good grasp of systems from “big picture” integration perspective
• Expertise in MS Office suite.  Visio experience would be a plus
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and accuracy
• Must be organized, focused and able to deliver under tight timelines
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills, with the ability to interact with various levels of personnel, including end users, management, and developers

Supervisory Responsibility
This role has some supervisory responsibilities over resources, vendors and tasks.

Work Environment
Work will primarily be remote.  If any onsite visits are required, then this job operates in a clerical office setting.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. 

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m CST, which may vary. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs. Exempt employees must have the ability to be on-call and available outside of typical working hours, as business needs require.
