General Function:      

• Possess knowledge of computer engineering and software virtualization.
• Support the design, development, testing/evaluation, implementation, maintenance, and administration of computer networks.
• Assist with systems acquisition and integration at system/subsystem levels.
• Apply systems requirements analysis and allocation techniques.
• Understand computer systems architecture and perform systems/subsystems testing and evaluation.
• Have knowledge of DoD DISN infrastructure, including:
  • Point-to-point connectivity
  • IP-based services
  • Virtual Private Networks (VPNs)
• Understand IEEE standards, including:
  • Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS)
  • High Level Architecture (HLA)
• Provide engineering support to address complex network standard issues.
• Maintain general knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
• Understand procedures for achieving an Authorization to Operate (ATO).
• Possesses advanced knowledge and expertise, recognized as highly skilled in their technical/professional field.
• Capable of overseeing and guiding junior and journeyman personnel within the discipline.

Qualifications:

Education/Certifications/Experience/Skills:

• MA/MS Degree with 10 years of directly related experience or BA/BS with 12 years of directly related experience or 15 years of directly related experience to this discipline.
• Must possess and maintain a government security clearance at the Secret Level.
• Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications and other standard applications.
