Job SummaryResponsible for performing and assisting with 3D imaging for advanced computerized tomography (CT) and magnetic resonanceimaging (MRI) applications. In collaboration with radiology management and the applications coordinators, facilitates continuous
improvement processes and assess radiology employees' educational needs and requirements.Essential Functions
- Creates 3D models for multiple clinical service lines including but not limited to: orthopedics, vascular, neuro, gastrointestinal (GI), and cardiology. Assembles and tracks 3D reports.
- Performs and assists with advanced CT/MRI applications. Provides appropriate interpretive worksheets for applicable examinations and performs a variety of post processing applications on CT/MRI data sets.
- Reviews and discusses post-processing procedures with radiologists and physicians to assist in the development of new scanning and post-processing techniques.
- Responsible for maintaining optimal 3D workstation performance by troubleshooting 3D equipment malfunctions, identifying hardware/ software problems and arranging for repairs.
- Provides post processing and 3D educational inservices for physicians, residents and radiology employees. Establishes and maintains protocols for each 3D workstation. Provides technical, scientific, and educational consultation to researchers. Prepares 3D rendering to be utilized with internal and external communications.
- Verifies patient’s clinical history ensuring that information is documented and appropriate for assigned post processing procedure.
- Required Associate's Degree or equivalent
- 3 years of relevant experience Clinical experience with emphasis in CT and/or MRI experience Required
- 6 months of relevant experience Post-processing of MRI/CT images including 3D experience Preferred
- CRT-Computerized Tomography (CT) - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist required Or
- CRT-Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (MRI) - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist required Or
- CRT-American Registry Of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (MRI) - ARMRIT American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists required
