Tanner Clinic has an immediate opening for a Software Developer.
Location: Layton, Utah
Hours: Full-time
General Summary: Responsible for system analysis, program design, coding, documentation and other development tasks.
Job Responsibilities:
- Write, test, and debug code in languages such as c#, html, CSS, JavaScript, or others as required.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of software applications and systems.
- Collaborate with users to implement new features and resolve issues.
- Follow coding best practices, version control, and documentation standards.
- Participate in code reviews to improve code quality and development skills.
- Troubleshoot and debug software applications as needed.
- Work with databases (SQL) to store and retrieve data.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of major programming languages (i.e., C#, html, CSS, JavaScript) and operating systems.
- Experience with MVC a plus.
- Knowledge of relational databases and SQL a plus (MS SQL Server preferred).
- Experience with reporting services a plus.
- Knowledge of electronic health records a plus (NextGen preferred).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with patient data.
- Ability to explain, both orally and in writing, technical topics in a clear and simple manner.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job
Performance Requirements:
Knowledge:
- Extensive knowledge of computer programs and computer hardware.
- Knowledge of computer programming principles and techniques.
Skills:
- Skill in assisting a variety of users on computer applications and programs.
- Skill in effective interpersonal skills and customer support methods.
Abilities:
- Ability to clearly explain computer applications and programs in simple, user-friendly ways.
- Ability to effectively interact with all employees at all levels of computer understanding.
- Ability to be well organized and prioritize effectively.
Equipment Operated:
Standard office equipment including computers, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.
Work Environment:
Position is in a well-lighted office environment. Occasional evening and weekend work.
Mental/Physical Requirements:
Involves sitting approximately 90 percent of the day, walking, kneeling, bending, or standing the remainder. May be required to lift up to 30 pounds.
