Are you passionate about hands-on development in an engineering team that combines theory and practice to deliver the next generation of technology to our GE Vernova platforms? The AMRT is the Advanced Manufacturing & Repair Engineering organization that is focused on building next generation technology and processes to support the repair and build of GE Vernova Gas Power products. The AMRT Process Development Engineer will develop and industrialize and support advanced robotics processes & systems for GE Gas Power globally. They will develop industrial robotic systems, implement them in GE Vernova facilities worldwide, and provide on-going engineering and technical support.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Develop solutions for identified challenges to deliver Gas Turbine processes
Experiment and develop simulation models and off-line programs supporting automation, coatings, machining, joining, and inspection technologies
Grow your skillset in hands-on engineering process and work as team to deliver and industrialize technologies to a manufacturing environment.
Collaboratively work across organizational boundaries with our Engineering, Supply Chain, and Advanced Manufacturing and Repair Technology Teams.
Train operators and engineers in the execution of developed processes to support gas turbine build and repair
Use developed skills in AI, Machine Learning, Robotics, and Machining to build the next generation of technology
Operate and execute with an “Anything is Possible” mindset
Maintain schedules for project deliverables
Communicate progress to all levels of the organization
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a high school diploma/ GED with 4 years of advanced manufacturing and repairs experience
Ability to travel globally 10%
Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future.
Desired Characteristics
Knowledge of robot operations, sensors, servo systems and motion control systems
Knowledge of Machine Learning and AI Tools
Knowledge of process technology such as: Machining, Robotics, Automation, Joining, Coating, and Inspection technologies
Experience with experimentation and root cause analysis
Good project management skills. Ability to work on multiple projects
Ability to learn, share and train all levels of personnel in newly developed processes
Demonstrated problem solving skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Familiarity with hands-on creation, manufacturing, engineering lab, and quality systems
Product knowledge of gas turbines / turbo machinery is a plus
Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
For purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, The base pay range for this position is $71,600.00 - $107,400.00 USD per year.
The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 5% variable incentive performance bonus.
*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
