Senior Director, Digital Core Product Director

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Executive Director, Digital Core Delivery, you will lead the strategic direction, development, and execution of CSL’s secure cloud foundation. You will drive the modernization of CSL’s infrastructure by establishing a scalable, secure, and efficient cloud platform that supports business innovation and transformation.

As the product director of CSL’s cloud foundation, you will oversee the planning and execution of cloud migration efforts, ensuring alignment with business objectives, security standards, and operational resilience. Partnering with a cross functional team that includes cybersecurity, networking, application teams and strategic partners, you will shape the future of CSL’s cloud strategy, ensuring seamless integration with hybrid and on-premises environments.

This is a high-impact leadership role requiring deep technical expertise in cloud architecture, migration methodologies, and product management. You will be an advocate for cloud-first principles, able to teach others and drive operational efficiencies and business value through cloud adoption.

The Role

Cloud Strategy and Product Leadership

• Define and own the strategic roadmap for CSL’s cloud foundation and cloud provider relationships, ensuring alignment with business priorities, security requirements, and digital transformation goals.

• Partner with stakeholders across IT, business and external strategic partners to develop cloud adoption and migration strategies.

• Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement, ensuring CSL’s cloud platforms remains modern, scalable, and cost-effective.

Cloud Migration and Technology Modernization

• Lead the end-to-end cloud migration effort, including planning, execution, and optimization.

• Develop and implement migration frameworks, methodologies, and best practices to ensure smooth transitions with minimal business disruption.

• Establish governance and operational models for cloud infrastructure, ensuring reliability, scalability, and compliance.

• Work with operations team to upskill the team on working in a hybrid cloud environment.

Cross Functional Collaboration

• Partner with cybersecurity, identity governance, networking, and application systems teams to ensure resilient, secure and seamless cloud operations.  

• Be the interface between business partners and technical teams, translating business needs into cloud platform capabilities.

Service Provider Management

• Oversight of Strategic Service Providers to ensure service level management (SLA) and Experience Level management (XLA metrics) are consistently met.

Your skills and experience

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required with preferred focus in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.  Related certifications, and advanced graduate studies desirable. 

• 10+ years of related experience in Information Technology. Experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry or a regulated manufacturing environment would be a plus

• Strong interpersonal skills to quickly build rapport and credibility with CSL leaders and key external stakeholders.

• Track record of leading cloud/infrastructure transformation and modernization initiatives.

• Experience with cloud technologies, network management, and IT operations.

• Project management, technical change management, and use of agile methodologies experience.

• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and compliance requirements.
