Summary

To provide effective leadership and administration of the development, maintenance, and provision of behavior plans and services to program participants, ensuring that behavior programs effectively promote the health, safety, personal growth, and community integration of participants served in compliance with regulations, policies, procedures and standards set by the Agency and the Illinois Department of Human Services (DHS); and in a manner that meets the particular physical, social, emotional needs of participants served and maximizes cross-team collaboration, cooperation and service integration across work unit, department and organizational boundaries. Essential Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Maintains a personal caseload (20-25), and assists and supervises the activities of Behavior Services staff to ensure the effective coordination, development, maintenance, and provision of behavior plans and services to adults, which maximize their health, safety, personal growth, and community integration, and meets their particular physical, social, emotional needs and permanency goals, and in a manner that ensures compliance with regulations, policies, procedures and standards set by the Agency and the Illinois Department of Human Services (DHS), and maximizes cross-team collaboration, cooperation, and service integration across work unit, department, and organizational boundaries by:
  • Ensure the effective assessment of behavioral issues of participants served, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to ensure the development of effective behavior plans and interventions. Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) should be completed every six months and uploaded to an electronic data system. 
  • Ensuring that each participant’s behavior service plan and related program activities and methodologies are maintained, implemented, and monitored appropriately to realize desired outcomes; demonstrating and role-modeling effective program implementation skills, behavior analyses, and program methodologies to staff and families; ensuring that staff and families utilize methods and practices following service plan specifications and the particular physical, social and emotional needs, and other designated goals of participants served; reporting any deficiencies to the appropriate department personnel following policies and procedures. 
  • Consult with appropriate professionals regarding specific participant needs for psychiatric services when necessary; ensure that professional recommendations are completed and documentation is completed; investigate/obtain necessary services unavailable through Envision Unlimited; coordinate with other agencies providing services.
  • Ensuring that effective data collection is carried out and regularly maintained as directed in the service and behavior plan methodologies; reports are completed in an accurate and timely fashion; records and other required program data are consistently maintained; written documentation of progress offers meaningful evaluative feedback for utilization by the interdisciplinary team.
  • Identifying, directing, and ensuring that behavior services staff acquire additional relevant training on an on-going basis and as necessary to ensure effective meaningful, and appropriate program services to persons served and to promote the professional and career growth of staff.
  • Complete and submit appropriate billing documentation to the required parties for each month by the first Tuesday of the following month:
  • For BCBA Adult Caseload: Goal of 120 hours per month to earn monthly bonus incentive.
  • Completes Agency and DHS training/certification requirements and secures additional information, education, and training, appropriate to remain abreast of new knowledge,
