What You Will Do:
North Berwick Aerospace Systems (NBAS) is in search of a Senior Materials Manager, Module Assembly to lead the Modular Assembly Materials Team. The Senior Materials Manager, Module Assembly is customer-focused, and will perform highly interactive work within an environment that synchronizes the entire North Berwick Aero Systems (NBAS) value stream, as well as external suppliers and Engine Centers.
In this highly visible role, Senior Materials Manager, Module Assembly will coordinate activities between numerous groups (internal and external) and assist Product Line Manager (PLMs) to clearly communicate material and module status to mitigate risk while building efficient working relationships across the functional groups.
Support of Modular Assembly value streams through the direct leadership of the Materials Product Line Manager (PLM) Team
Provide effective management of planning parameters in support of schedule accuracy, schedule stability, and inventory optimization; direct Shop Floor personnel in execution of MOD Assembly plan; provide direction to Manufacturing Cell Leaders and QA Leaders on prioritization of materials
Provide leadership and direction to the Operations Team and PLM team setting both near term, and long-term operational objectives focusing on the tactical strategies while also partnering upper management on strategic planning
Utilize in-depth SAP and material planning skills to research and manage system logistics of part flow and module deliveries
Manage Delivery Assurance ensuring accurate communication with the Product Delivery Center (PDC), Program Industrial, and provide impact to customer in a timely manner
Support CORE/Lean manufacturing and other continuous improvement techniques to develop and implement process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing quality, throughput, and delivery integrity
Be available on all shifts and weekends
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and minimum 10 years’ experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, materials management, quality or closely related industrial environment or a Master's degree and 7 or more years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, materials management quality or closely related industrial environment
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, experience with Kaizen events or experience with a continuous improvement program (CORE)
Demonstrated experience in a team lead capacity within a manufacturing environment
Working knowledge of shop floor practices, processes, and procedures
Working knowledge of SAP
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products

Qualifications We Prefer:
Master's degree/MBA
Prior materials management experience within a manufacturing environment
Working knowledge of Solumina
