Maintenance Supervisor

Under the direction of the Engineering Manager, Maintenance supervisor will provide technical leadership and expertise to drive continuous improvement in process and asset reliability through the detection and elimination of defects. In this role, the Maintenance supervisor will optimize the availability and productivity of our manufacturing facilities and equipment, perform engineering reviews, coordinate repair work, and participate in the commissioning and installation of new equipment.

This role also includes all people leader activities, support on project executions, challenging the team by technical solution and validations, standardize the way of working within the team and creation a good atmosphere within the team. In this job, the maintenance supervisor will use engineering principles, tools and techniques to develop, and optimize, and support systems and processes that are aligned with the overall Company strategy and mission.

Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the Engineering Manager and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:

  • Advanced courses on cGMP Internal:
  • preferable: Process Excellence/Lean belt – Green Blet project leader, methodology, Risk Management - and Auditing experience – you have
  • masters degree
  • Analytical, innovative, and pragmatic thinking - YES
  • maintenance problems associated with installation of manufacturing equipment and other utility equipment.
  • Identify Continuous improvement opportunities within the Maintenance scope.
  • Develop and Follow performance metrics (KPIs) and initiate appropriate actions.
  • Lead technical investigations as required for specific projects/tasks.
  • Partner with the process engineers to ensure the correct level of maintenance/servicing for all the processes.
  • Manage Improvement projects in maintenance.
  • Managing, coaching, and developing maintenance & calibration engineers/technicians through regular follow ups on uniform implementation of activities with the aim of good cooperation and efficiency of the maintenance organization.
  • Develops department goals and objectives and conduct performance reviews to the team.
  • Develops and implements preventive maintenance and instrument calibration programs and ensures programs are effective.
  • Prepares and implements career development programs for direct reports.
  • Follow compliance and EHS policies and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • University / Bachelor’s Degree, Engineering degree or Equivalent in a Life Science,
  • Process Engineering, or Physical Science. An advanced degree, such as Master degree in a Technical or Science field is preferred.
  • Maintenance Experience with 4-8 years of leading technical departments preferably in GMP environment
  • Experience in Maintenance, Calibration or Manufacturing and/or Engineering working on manufacturing processes and improvements.
  • Strong written and oral communication in English required.
  • Experience in the Medical Device industry and GMP.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices, and procedures.
