As an integral part of Intel's new Integrated Device Manufacturer 2.0 (IDM2.0) strategy, we are establishing Intel Foundry, a fully vertical, stand-alone foundry business, reporting directly to the CEO. Intel Foundry will be a world-class foundry business and major provider of US and European-based capacity to serve customers globally.
Foundry Services is already engaged with customers today starting with our existing foundry offerings. We are expanding at a torrid pace to include our most advanced technologies, which are ideal for high-performance applications, and they are completely dedicated to the success of its customers with full profit and loss responsibilities. Using this model will ensure that our foundry customers' products receive our utmost focus in terms of service, technology enablement, and capacity commitments.
Foundry Services will be differentiated from other foundries with a combination of leading-edge packaging and process technology, committed capacity in the US and Europe, and a world-class IP portfolio that customers can choose from, including x86 cores, graphics, media, display, AI, interconnect, fabric and other critical foundational IP's, along with Arm and RISC-V ecosystem IP's.
Foundry Services will also provide access to silicon design services to help our customers seamlessly turn silicon into solutions, using industry standard design packages.
The primary responsibilities for this role will include but are not limited to:
- Applies deep knowledge of one or more engineering domains to influence clients and stakeholders for achieving strategic objectives of engineering project(s)/program(s).
- Contributes technical expertise to the development of new products, working with cross-functional teams across engineering disciplines such as, but not limited to, chemical, electrical, hardware, industrial, manufacturing, mechanical, process, software, and technology platforms and investigates technical roadblocks to help troubleshoot and drive results.
- Manages complex projects and programs that are directly tied to the development, implementation or upgrade of manufacturing systems/processes, hardware products, software programs, and/or technology platforms.
- Leads review with executives and department leads for largescale programs, providing transparency into the health, risk.
- Manages teams to the achievement of program level milestones and prioritizes deliverables to meet strategic needs.
- Drives requirements scoping, analysis, priorities and planning including interdependencies, business and customer priorities, staffing constraints, and schedule optimization across multiple product teams.
- Exhibits knowledge of customer gaps, needs and required usages to drive teams to delivering high ROI products.
- Advises and mentors the project/program management teams, providing guidance and leading the advancement of project management competencies.
- Exercises thought leadership to innovate new processes and procedures within the engineering domain.
- Oversees projects and/or programs that require business acumen as well as interaction and domain knowledge in one or more engineering areas such as design, development, architecture, validation, manufacturing, and/or processes.
Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science or in a STEM related Field.
- 8+ years of experience supporting foundry customers.
- 6+ years of experience in foundry quality and transformation of business processes across the enterprise.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Post graduate degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science or in a STEM related Field.
- Customer foundry service experience in difficult to manage segments such as automotive.
