The Product Manager in this position will be responsible for new product and applications research, product planning and execution with particular emphasis on product solutions for the Renewables market. This includes managing the product throughout the Product Lifecycle - defining the product vision & roadmap, developing deep understanding of the customers, market dynamics and competitive landscape, formulating product strategy, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, and working closely with engineering to deliver winning products. Being able to work closely with marketing, sales, operations & finance is critically important to ensure that the revenue, profitability and customer satisfaction goals are met for the digital / software product portfolio. The Product Manager’s job also includes ensuring that the product's short- and long-term trajectory supports the company’s overall strategy and goals.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Domain Expertise:
- Degree qualified Chemist or Chemical Engineer with more than five-years' experience in supervising or conducting Laboratory operations for petroleum and/or renewable fuels.
- Familiar with Laboratory analysis of petroleum and/or renewable fuels following industry requirements such as ASTM methods and standards.
Leadership Skills:
- Ability to see the big picture and be able to dive deep into the details of execution at the same time.
- Persuasive, business verbal & written communication - up, down and lateral, both external & internal
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
Operational Ability:
- Ability to travel 20% -35% both domestic and international. Must be able to travel to refinery and petrochemical complexes globally
- Excellent teamwork skills, even in virtual communication environments
Ideal Candidate Additional Skills
- Postgraduate qualification in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
- Strategy - Opportunity identification, playing to win, five forces analysis, industry analysis, value mapping
- Corporate Finance - Reading, analyzing and interpreting financial statements, Cost & profit drivers, Pricing optimization, Valuation using Discounted Cash Flow, Capital allocation
- Marketing - Segmentation & targeting, 4Ps, 5Cs, primary & secondary market research techniques such as conjoint analysis, value proposition document development, understanding of customer behavior and their buying process in B2B, understanding of brand & brand equity

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or related areas. MBA from a top university is a plus
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Product Manager
- Demonstrated success in defining and launching successful electromechanical products, preferably analytical instruments in B2B industrial sector
- 5+ years of working experience in the B2B market
- Familiarity with ASTM, ISO, CEN regulatory bodies and processes is a plus
- Ability to share examples of at least one document or presentation delivered in the past as a product manager
