Join our team and help create a supportive and empowering environment for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a Lead Support Specialist, you'll play a key role in promoting independence, self-advocacy, and community engagement.
Schedule: Sun-Thurs 1p-9p
Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily living activities (personal care, meal prep, cleaning)
- Foster independence and encourage community involvement
- Provide transportation for appointments and activities
- Assist with medication administration (MAP certified) and health tracking
- Lead and train staff during shifts, participate in interviews, and help fill schedule gaps
- Maintain documentation and ensure a safe, respectful environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (degree in Human Services preferred)
- At least 6 months of relevant experience (IDD/DD or brain injury support preferred)
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance
- MAP, CPR, and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
- Compassion, flexibility, and strong communication skills
