      Job Description  POSITION: Coach  REPORTS TO: Athletic Director LOCATION:  Campus COMPENSATION: $20.00 per hour (25-26 Academic Year)  SCHEDULE: 4-5 hours/week for 6-8 weeks  At YES Prep, work for a mission that impacts the life trajectory of students and their families. We are a rapidly growing organization, committed to creating life-changing opportunities for over 23,000 students by 2025.   THE ROLE  When you join the YES Prep team, some of the exciting work and responsibilities will include:  
  • Organizing practices and games  
  • Monitoring the academic progress of student athletes throughout the school year  
  • Include issuing and collecting uniforms  
  • Providing an orientation of a sound program to all student athlete participants  
  • Communicating with coaches and athletic director on the progression of the student athletes and the team  
  • Realizing the athlete is a student first; academics have priority over athletics.  
  • Being on time to all scheduled athletic events.  
  • Practicing with a plan and purpose.  
  • Training each student-athlete to become in the best physical condition as possible.   
  • Putting the team first, and the individual second.   
  • Staying with the team, at all times, until the last student-athlete and their parents/guardians.  
  • Collecting athlete documentation such as physicals and other important paperwork in a designated Athletics Binder in order to remain in compliance with State and YES Prep policies.  
  • Additional duties as assigned.
