About the Role

As a Regional Service Manager, you’ll oversee a team of skilled commercial service technicians in one of our U.S. districts, ensuring operational excellence and client satisfaction. You’ll manage service operations, foster team engagement, and support business growth while upholding BGIS’s commitment to innovation, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Operations

• Lead and mentor a team of HVAC service technicians
• Serve as the primary escalation contact for service issues
• Provide daily direction and technical guidance to team members
• Assist with dispatching and scheduling service and maintenance tasks
• Review completed service and repair invoices
• Drive process improvements and develop standard operating procedures
• Conduct administrative tasks and site visits to support the service team

Client Service

• Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and internal teams
• Respond promptly to service requests and resolve issues efficiently
• Conduct monthly audits to ensure service quality and compliance
• Represent BGIS with professionalism and uphold company values

Technical HVAC Work

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance across multiple facilities
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems, ice machines, and refrigeration units
• Respond to emergency service calls and routine maintenance requests
• Document work in service management systems and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards
• Recommend enhancements and repairs based on site observations

Qualifications Experience

• 8+ years of commercial HVAC and refrigeration experience
• 3+ years in a supervisory or lead technician role
• Proven ability to manage teams of 20+ technicians, conduct audits, and ensure safety and quality compliance
• Experience with preventive maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and equipment changeouts
• Familiarity with national accounts or multi-site operations (preferred)

Certifications

• EPA Universal Certification (required)
• Valid HVAC Journeyman License (preferred)
• Additional certifications such as NATE or HVAC Excellence (a plus)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to climb ladders while carrying up to 30 lbs.
• Lift up to 75 lbs. and work in confined spaces
• Frequent standing, walking, reaching, bending, and kneeling
• Consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Willingness to travel between client sites

Additional Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass drug, background, and driving record checks
• Meet enhanced security clearance requirements
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed
