This position is responsible for the development and management of physician recruitment for Vanderbilt University Medical Center and its affiliates. Leading a team of 15+ Physician recruiters and staff, the Director has functional responsibility for all aspects of physician recruitment. The Director will partner with physician leaders across the enterprise to streamline recruitment processes to ensure a seamless experience for all stakeholders. This position reports to the Vice President of Adult Ambulatory Operations..
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead a team of physician recruiters, administrative assistants, and concierge specialists providing guidance and support in their daily activities, while also performing management duties including but not limited to, hiring and terminating, coaching and development, rewards and recognition, as well as recruiter performance and productivity.
- Ensure functional team effectively executes the full cycle recruitment process for physicians, including creative sourcing, resume evaluation, candidate screening, contract offers, and onboarding.
- Generates and analyzes reports to support business needs, monitor and track team productivity, and report out to executive leadership while also creating strategic recruiting plans to meet enterprise recruitment goals.
- Monitor requisition volume in partnership with recruiters and assigns activity to team members based on capacity, expertise, skill level, and other factors as indicated.
- Plan, organize, staff, direct and control the day-to-day operations of the department.
- Develop and implement policies and programs as needed.
- Budgetary responsibility for recruitment personnel and all recruitment related activities.
- Support the development and execution of team goals and objectives aligned with the organization’s strategic initiatives.
- Evaluate labor market data, internal analytics, business intel and HR partnerships to create strategic recruiting initiatives to manage and lead efforts to identify, attract, and hire top talent.
- Partners with senior management and service delivery to inform and influence business leaders in client areas on key talent acquisition issues, actions, and strategies.
- Interpret business requirements and translate the into successful recruitment solutions.
- Be able to drive decision making, outcomes, and ensure project team meets deadlines.
- Demonstrates in-depth understanding and ability to manage team members to company policies and CREDO behaviors.
