THE JOB:
As the Assistant Director of Housekeeping, you will lead and guide the Housekeeping, EVS, and Uniforms teams, ensuring alignment with the renowned MGM Resorts brand. Oversee the achievement of operational and financial objectives while fostering a culture of excellence. Manage staff performance, scheduling, and training to uphold the highest standards of guest service, delivering exceptional customer satisfaction and creating unforgettable guest experiences.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
- Act as a hands-on leader, addressing challenges, optimizing operations, and driving the team towards continuous improvement and outstanding performance.
- Lead the development and management of the fiscal budget for the Housekeeping, EVS, and Uniforms departments.
- Monitor guest service standards and revenue opportunities to ensure both short-term gains and long-term profitability.
- Execute and uphold policies, operational procedures, training programs, schedules, and departmental regulations, adapting to business needs and demands.
- Conduct interviews, make hiring decisions, and oversee the training, supervision, and coaching of staff to ensure the efficient operation of the departments.
- Foster a culture of engagement and professional growth through consistent coaching and development initiatives.
- Ensure the delivery of exceptional guest experiences across Housekeeping, EVS, and Uniforms, maintaining alignment with MGM Resorts’ high service standards.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- 4+ years in housekeeping operations, including 3+ years in leadership within a comparable hotel.
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, Management, or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in Opera or similar systems.
- Skilled in leading large teams and managing high turnaround deadlines.
- Strong focus on driving exceptional guest experiences and team performance.
- Flexible with varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Prepared to lead with excellence, ensuring operational efficiency and outstanding guest satisfaction.
