What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a Senior Data Center Technician who can lead by example, mentor junior team members, and ensure operational excellence.
Key Skills & Experience
Strong experience in data center operations
Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage escalations, and lead a team during critical situations
Hands-on experience with data center buildouts, equipment assembly, and installation
Knowledge of connectivity technologies, especially fiber optics, structured cabling, and cross-connects
Experience using Fluke testers or similar tools for cable and fiber testing
Solid understanding of IT systems, hardware troubleshooting, and network basics
Familiarity with Change, Incident, and Escalation Management processes
Ability to work in a shift-based environment, including on-call rotation and after-hours support
Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills
Knowledge of critical infrastructure (power and cooling systems) is a plus, but not mandatory
Responsibilities
Hands-on Customer Support
Handle customer installations and troubleshooting, including fiber cross-connects and testing
Provide customer support, including but not limited to logistics coordination and security coverage
Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on hardware and network equipment
Manage internal and external tickets (including Smart Hands requests) in line with SLAs
Leadership & Operational Excellence
Lead escalations for incidents, coordinating resolution efforts across teams
Mentor and train peers, promoting best practices and ensuring operational discipline
Deliver clear shift handovers and comprehensive operational status reports
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and operational excellence
Develop documentation and operational processes to standardize best practices
Additional Responsibilities
Monitor infrastructure alarms (power, cooling, temperature, humidity) to maintain stable operations
Oversee contractors, ensuring compliance with safety, cleanli
