- Manage a team of engineers to build a quality-driven engineering culture that helps ship products rapidly and with good confidence.
- Serve as the voice of Quality for a product/feature, assess risks to and ensure shipping features with a high quality bar.
- Oversee planning, development, and execution of test strategies across core Meta products and platforms.
- Direct quality assurance efforts that align with product objectives and develop scalable solutions.
- Direct the Engineering team to meet cross-platform engineering challenges and contribute creative ideas to the improve quality.
- Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, or to mitigate risks.
- Oversee software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments.
- Implement and evolve QA processes to obtain effective test signal and scale testing efforts across multiple products.
- Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability.
- Define Quality Metrics and implement measurements to determine test effectiveness, testing efficiency, and measure the overall quality of the Product.
- Document test procedures to ensure replicability and compliance with standards.
- Oversee the intersection of the Quality team with engineering and infrastructure teams to leverage automation for scalable solution to prevent regressions and ensure reliability of product.
- Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Software, Engineering, Applied Sciences, Biotechnology, Mathematics, Physics, or related field, followed by five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation.
Experience must include 24 months of experience in the following: - 1. Leading quality assurance and test engineering efforts
- 2. Python, PHP, Java, C, or C++
- 3. Testing and debugging web or mobile applications
- 4. Test planning, test designing and execution, performance and stress testing, implementing and maintaining quality test automation of both client and server systems
- 5. Industry standard test automation tools and automation frameworks, including Selenium and Page Object Model
- 6. Analyzing technical, design and performance risks: data inconsistencies, loss of data, failure to fulfill contract, system crash, and page load delays
- 7. Identifying client critical workflows, interfaces between modules, strategizing object orientation methods, processes and Data Collection, and converting into automated E2E testable solutions
- 8. Testing programs to validate the reliability of the application software
- 9. Working with database testing programs to validate database triggers, logical views, functions and SQL queries
- 10. Document Repository tools such as MS-SharePoint, Jira, Quip, or Google Docs.
