You will be responsible for executing core accounting processes related to commercial finance, including revenue recognition, trade spend validation, accruals, and intercompany transactions. </p> <p>You will ensure accurate and timely financial postings, support month-end close activities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and enhance data integrity. This role requires strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of accounting principles to support decision-making and compliance across markets. </p> <p>You will also partner with the Source to Pay (STP) and Record to Report (RTR) towers to ensure seamless integration of commercial accounting processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. This role is critical in enabling GBS to deliver consistent, high-quality financial services that support business performance and strategic objectives. </p><h2>Your responsibilities</h2> <ul> <li>Execute core accounting processes related to commercial finance, including revenue recognition, trade spend validation, accruals, and intercompany transactions. </li> <li>Support month-end close activities by ensuring timely and accurate financial postings. </li> <li>Analyse variances and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with cross-functional teams </li> <li>Maintain data integrity across commercial accounting systems and reports. </li> <li>Partner with STP and RTR tower leads to ensure seamless integration of accounting workflows. </li> <li>Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation and standardization. </li> <li>Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and audit requirements. </li> <li>Provide financial insights and reporting to support commercial decision-making </li> </ul><h2>The experience we're looking for</h2> <ul> <li>Experience in accounting, finance operations, or shared services, preferably within a commercial or GBS environment. </li> <li>Foundational knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes. </li> <li>Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is preferred </li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy. </li> <li>Ability to work collaboratively across functions and communicate effectively with stakeholders. </li> <li>Eagerness to learn and contribute to process improvement and standardization initiatives. </li> </ul><h2>The skills for success</h2> Project management, Financial systems, Improve business processes, Accounting Principles, Financial Reporting, Stakeholder engagement and influence.<h2>What we offer</h2> With inclusion at the heart of everything we do, working alongside our four global Employee Resource Groups, we support our people at every step of their career journey, helping them to succeed in their own individual way.
