About the Department
The Product organization at Cloudflare is made up of Product Managers, Product Designers, Product Content Managers and Product Operations Managers. We love to learn, collaborate, and solve large-scale problems.
Your work will impact and influence products used by millions of people and thousands of companies daily. Working within the department and across-functions in an inclusive, hands-on and respectful way will be key to your success and the success of the Product organization in general.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Product Operations Manager who will play a key role in the Product : Customer connection at Cloudflare and in enabling the next phase of the company’s rapid growth. You will be responsible for making the Product : Customer connection as seamless and nimble as possible, working with our Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, Pricing & Licensing and other functions. Your responsibilities include enhancing how we manage customer feature requests, roadmap commitments, customer sponsorships and helping ensure customer-facing teams are trained on new products and features. You will also help facilitate the creation and sharing of cross-organization plans working closely with leaders in our Go-to-Market, Finance and other functions.
- Act as the Product organization leader and representative, working with Go-to-Market (GTM) functions to to continually enhance and optimize the customer-feature-request process and the committed/contracted-feature process.
- Partner with Sales and Pricing & Licensing to manage deal sponsorships, approvals and escalations designed to streamline engagement with new and existing customers.
- Partner with GTM, build systems and processes to continuously enhance how Cloudflare’s pre and post sales representatives build skills around new products, features and capabilities.
- Facilitate continuous joint-planning across Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance and other functions.
- Manage ongoing cross-functional projects and tasks for the leadership teams of Cloudflare’s solution areas, to quickly respond to market conditions and continuously adjust resources to meet quarterly and annual goals.
Desirable skills, knowledge and experience
- Minimum 10 years previous experience in Product Operations, Product Planning, Product Management, Engineering Management, Customer Success or Pre/Post-Sales.
- Strong technical expertise, curiosity and a solid understanding of networks and the Internet.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience in the Cloud Software and/or Cybersecurity industries.
- Proven track record working with diverse teams and working across-teams.Deep empathy with, and understanding of customer needs.
- A detail-oriented mindset.
- Customer-centric mindset with the capability of translating customer needs and customer experiences into the product development process.
Compensation
Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location.
- For Colorado-based hires and Washington hires: Estimated annual salary of $170,000 - $208,000.
- For New York City-based and California (excluding Bay Area): Estimated annual salary of $192,000 - $234,000
- For Bay Area-based hires: Estimated annual salary of $202,000 - $246,000
