About the role

Digital Product Associate– Mobile App & eService

Plymouth Rock Assurance is seeking a Digital Product Associate to lead the roadmap, delivery, and performance of key features within our customer-facing Mobile App and eService platform. This role sits at the intersection of business strategy, user experience, and technology, driving feature enhancements that improve digital self-service, reduce contact volume, and strengthen customer retention for our Auto and Home insurance products.

We are looking for an action-oriented contributor who is passionate about shaping modern digital experiences. This individual will play a key role in determining what goes into the app and how it evolves over time. The ideal candidate is hands-on, proactive, and data-driven — someone who performs their own analysis, monitors app usage trends, and continually improves features based on customer needs. A critical focus of this role is to grow mobile app adoption, helping to shift both digital and non-digital customers into the app environment where our most advanced capabilities are launched and centralized.

This role is best suited for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves — including when navigating technically nuanced flows like registration logic or feature gating based on customer data. While coding is not expected, the ability to approach complex, logic-heavy scenarios with patience, clarity, and a methodical mindset is essential to success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create requirements via user stories and acceptance criteria documenting.
  • Lead daily application standups with Development and BAs
  • Own the product backlog for Mobile App and eService enhancements, ensuring high-value work is prioritized and aligned to company goals.
  • Define and maintain a clear product roadmap and delivery timeline in collaboration with the Digital Strategy, IT, and UX teams.
  • Using advanced analysis approaches, creatively define and iterate on app experiences that simplify servicing and increase app usage across customer segments.
  • Work closely with the UX team to ensure the design story is complete, intuitive, and customer-centered, enabling seamless execution and clear translation of the product vision.
  • Proactively monitor performance indicators, user behaviors, and customer feedback to drive continual improvement using a monitor-and-control mindset. This includes understanding technically complex flows, such as registration and feature availability logic, to help resolve edge cases and inform enhancements.
  • Take full lifecycle ownership of features — from concept to launch and beyond — with deep intimacy and accountability for the app experience. Spot and address gaps in user stories or UX early to avoid delays and rework later in delivery.
  • Manage defect resolution and prioritization, making thoughtful tradeoffs within budget constraints.
  • Contribute to annual budgeting and planning by building data-informed business cases and tracking spend against allocated grants.
  • Collaborate with Service, Marketing, Underwriting, and other business partners to align product work with broader strategic goals and cross-functional needs.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role in a digital product environment. Analytics experience is a must.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently perform analysis and act on insights using a variety of tools — such as GA4, Tableau, Heap, AI-based tools, Excel, or similar digital analytics platforms.
  • Familiarity with UX tools like Figma and a strong sense of how to translate business needs into design and development work.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies; experience writing user stories, managing sprints, leading stand-ups, and participating in Agile ceremonies.
  • Proven track record of taking initiative to identify issues, solve problems, and drive outcomes without needing heavy direction.
  • Comfortable working through logical
