Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an experienced Director of Education for our Professional Development department who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

As the Director of Education, you will:
• Assess and act upon organizational educational needs
• Develop and support education initiatives to orient, maintain, and enhance the development, clinical acumen, and competence of staff
• Contribute to hospital-wide improvement opportunities
• Maintain knowledge of and promote compliance with education and/or competency requirements to support organization compliance with regulatory requirements
• Develop and manage department productivity and budget effectively
• Integrate organizational strategic planning into department initiatives
• Facilitate and manage relationships with various schools, community, industry, and professional organizations and associations that benefit the hospital and ensure compliance with any related requirements or standards
• Actively support the faith-based mission of the organization, ethical behavior, spirituality, and compassionate care

Qualifications include:
• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare-related field required (Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred)
• Master’s degree required
• 3-5 years of experience in education or as a CNS or advanced practitioner
• 3-5 years of experience in management preferred
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Full-time

Pay Range:

$105,664.42 - $158,496.00

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount or if the position is Per Diem (offering a fixed rate), salary discussions will occur during the screening process.
