Overview

The Director of Operations will work in close partnership with the Chief Operating Officer to lead, coordinate, and enhance the company’s daily operations. This role is responsible for aligning cross-functional teams, driving operational efficiency, and implementing strategic initiatives that support the company’s goals. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a sharp eye for streamlining processes, managing resources, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Travel

Requirements
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in supporting operations related areas
- Ten or more years in a senior leadership role in a field related to our industry
- Five or more years of program management experience in leading large programs or contracts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced level competency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint applications
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented culture that values the importance of being a good teammate, communicator, and partner
- Demonstrated ability to innovate, self-start, think ahead, problem solve, and engage proactively
- Ability to excel under pressure and is confident handling last-minute details and changes
- Superior knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including finance, customer service, business development, and employee management
- Ability to plan and manage operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity
- Strong working knowledge of industry regulations and legal guidelines
- Experience in developing and maintaining budgets and business plans
- Experience writing proposals and white papers
Responsibilities
- Support strategic operational initiatives that improve quality, efficiency, security, and compliance across company
- Collaborate with the strategic leadership team on risk management, resource planning, and contract support strategies
- Participate in all Councils to understand each Council and to provide support to the Council leads as needed
- Assist with definition, implementation, and monitoring of policies/processes (EPG)
- Assist with implementation of process improvements
- Work with Business Development and Operations Groups to identify and support capture of new business
- Identify, plan, monitor, and analyze key metrics for tracking performance
- Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes to provide visibility into the goals, progress, and obstacles of key initiatives

Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.
The projected annual compensation range for this position is $120,000 - $190,000 (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.
