About the Unit

The Reed City Rehab and Nursing Center is a 39-bed facility, 30 of these beds are reserved for long term patients while the other 9 are for outpatient rehabilitation. The smaller facility allows for close relationships between coworkers as with their patients and patient families.

Scope of work 

Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality, direct patient care. Performs basic skills per department guidelines and communicates observations to members of the health care team. Provides direct patient care under the direction of the Unit Manager or Licensed Nurse, consistent with policies and procedures of the unit. Responsible for direct day-to-day care of assigned residents/patients including dressing, bathing, transporting and feeding. Documents care provided as directed in a manner consistent with guidelines.

Qualifications 

• High school diploma or equivalent required upon hire
• CNA Certification required upon hire
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days 
• Successful completion of a competency-based orientation program
