Description

The Strategic Planning Analyst will perform a variety of duties including but not limited to: drafting strategic plans in collaboration with Osage Nation departments and programs, working with a team to  develop long-term goals and strategic objectives for the update of the Osage Nation’s Strategic Plan, Resource Directory, and the Osage Nation Census, assist with synchronizing grant opportunities to meet the Chief’s goals and long term needs of the Nation’s operations and provide guidance and training to program managers to develop comprehensive approaches to implementing and accomplishing project and program goals. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required
  • At least five (5) years of experience in the project planning and strategic planning required
  • At least five (5) years of experience in Tribal government required
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Must be highly organized with exceptional attention to detail, highly efficient
  • Must have proven ability to manage complex processes and drive continuous process improvement while maintaining a big-picture mentality
  • Must have excellent problem solving and analytical skills, including the ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems, and recommend sound conclusions
  • Must be a self-starter, self-confident and assured in personal abilities
  • Must obtain/develop familiarity of Osage Language and Culture
  • Must be proficient with technology and report generation
  • Must maintain a professional attitude and appearance that positively represents the Nation
  • Must be willing to travel to conferences and training sessions
  • Must be a strong communicator and effective in creating partnership agreements
  • Must maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
  • Must be able to pass drug/alcohol testing
  • Must have a valid driver’s license – may be required to drive GSA or Nation vehicles
  • Requires a high level of personal integrity and ethics
  • Requires familiarity with grant writing, administration, and compliance with grant regulation
  • Requires familiarity with strategic planning process and concepts
  • Requires familiarity with the concepts of budget development and compliance
  • Requires familiarity with planning concepts and processes including but not limited to program planning and project management  
  • Requires willingness and ability to learn new skills
  • Requires ability to use Microsoft Office Suite programs
  • Requires good interpersonal communication and team work skills
