The expected salary range for this position is $28.31 - $33.26. Employees in specific high cost of labor locations in the United States (such as San Francisco, CA and Seattle, WA) may qualify for a geographic differential. Compassion's Fellowship program is a 9-month (September-May) opportunity for recent graduates and early career professionals to join innovative teams at Compassion in working on new and exciting projects in the organization. Fellows are entry-level contributors who are developed over these 9-months to be equipped to take the lead on projects in the future. Each Fellow is paired with a mentor who will offer them 1:1 coaching throughout this season with Compassion. They will also participate in various professional development opportunities such as conferences with other organizations, Q&A times with innovative Thought-Leaders at Compassion, and understanding their strengths and contributions in the workforce.

Please Note: This is a temporary position from September 2, 2025 to May 22, 2026. Fellows must be available to travel for a retreat in Washington from October 3-5.

Overview

As a member of the Operational Excellence (OPEX) team, the Business Intelligence Analyst Fellow will support the Supporter Operations team by developing and maintaining data and reports required for data-driven decision making and performance management. This role will perform duties required to collect, process, and visualize data utilizing tools and systems including but not limited to Snowflake, Salesforce, Tableau, and DataRobot.

What will you do?

  • Acts as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children. Understands Christ’s mandate to protect children. Commits to and prioritizes child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministry. Abides by all behavioral expectations in Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Reports any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through Compassion’s internal reporting process and appropriately supports responses to incidents if they occur.
  • Uphold and engage in Compassion’s core Cultural Behaviors.
  • Oversee and participate in all aspects of data analysis process including but not limited to:
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify reporting requirements and objectives.
  • Identify and collect / query relevant data from internal, public or proprietary data sources.
  • Review data to ensure the data is valid and consistent with the defined needs of internal stakeholders.
  • Derive meaning from the data by applying appropriate quantitative or qualitative methodologies.
  • Develop visualizations, dashboards, or reports to convey this meaning to technical or non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders throughout data analysis to refine process as necessary.
  • When necessary, prepare materials and deliver presentations related to data analysis.
  • Cooperate in the maintenance of business intelligence tools, databases, dashboards, systems, or methods.  May include the creation or review of technical design documentation to ensure the accurate development of reporting solutions.
  • Develop audit reports of data / reporting to monitor utilization.
  • Be comfortable in a multi-faceted, fast pace work environment.

What do you bring?

  • Experience developing and maintaining data connections, performing data analysis with commercial off the shelf products, and designing visualizations and reports to support organizational data driven decision making.
  • Knowledge and Experience Developing Visualizations in Tableau.
  • Knowledge and Experience coding in SQL
  • Experience with the following: Snowflake, Salesforce, Tableau, and DataRobot.
