Senior Buyer - eMobility - Project Purchasing

Your Key Responsibilities

• Support E-Mobility and/or Chassis Business Unit (BU) requirements to achieve the correct cost structure, launches on time and technical cost reduction initiatives of applicable projects. 
• Project management for launching E-Mobility and/or Chassis business in Purchasing.  
• Drive Category Purchasing for results in requests for quote (RFQ), Kickoff, and on-time delivery to meet necessary milestones.  
• Participate in and/or lead technical cost-saving initiatives for the assigned/respective projects. 
• Support North American footprint strategy development and implementation and support North American Sustainability and Carbon Footprint Initiatives by driving suppliers toward implementation/compliance.
• Define and negotiate prices/contracts, cross-divisionally or functionally, and align and implement profitable purchasing strategies and effective negotiation tactics in the assigned area.

Your Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree.
• Minimum five years of purchasing experience.
• Strong negotiation, project management and problem-solving skills.
• Basic mechanical and electronics comprehension.
• Excellent personal computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Office suites.
• Blueprint comprehension.

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering related field.
• Material requirements planning experience.
