Description
Our client, a public sector organization located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, is seeking a Senior Disaster Recovery Specialist for a six-month contract employment opportunity - with the ability to work remotely across Canada. The successful Senior Disaster Recovery Specialist candidate will have 7+ years of experience in IT, specifically in DR and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) initiatives, have a ABCP or CBCP certification, as well as experience in Lean, ADKAR.
Responsibilities
- Conduct BIA workshops
- Continuation of BIAs
- GAP Analysis on business requirements and technology capabilities
- SWOT analysis on capabilities and capacity
- Updating RTO’s and RPO’s with business units
- Risks and impacts to critical services
- Planning for IT continuity
Required Experience and Skills
- Completion of a University Degree, preferably in Computer Science
- 7 years’ experience in a Disaster Recovery or Business Continuity role in an Information Technology environment
- Experience in Lean, ADKAR
- Experience executing BIAs
- Excellent M365 skills
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Must have a Windows-based computer with standard Windows 10 applications
- Must possess own communication device
