Job Summary:

This is an outside sales position for flooring products, installation labor, and other services for residential builders. Our outside salesperson is responsible for prospecting new customers and maintaining the existing customer base. This position will be compensated through a base salary plus commission plan.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Previous sales experience
• Ability to acquire new business by identifying leads, managing prospects & persistent contacts.
• Must be self-motivated and results oriented with a strong desire to achieve high levels of success in a very competitive market.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships with internal & external customers.
• Ability to manage multiple customers, projects and tasks.
• Effectively work in a team environment with all employees that support sales processes.
• Willingness and ability to utilize flooring and project management software.
• Commitment to being a career-long learner seeking to obtain continuous improvement.
• Basic skills in using Microsoft software including Outlook, Word & Excel.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Beneficial Experience

• Knowledge of flooring products and installations of these products.
• Knowledge of residential construction process.
• Experience in the estimating of product and labor quantities.
