Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center

Summary

Pharmacy technicians assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records.  Pharmacy technicians work under direct supervision of a registered pharmacist and do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist. 

Responsibilities

This individual's responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Accurately fill and label medication orders with correct strength, dosage form, and quantity in a timely manner.  Accurately stock automated dispensing cabinets (ADCs) in a timely manner.  Fill/refill emergency crash carts, boxes, and kits timely and accurately.  Re-package and label oral medications/extemporaneous preparations and maintain appropriate records. Respond appropriately to requests for STAT orders, routine orders, department requests, and ADC stock out bulletins.  Assure all medicati
