Description
Priory Hillside is looking to recruit a Maintenence Person to join the team. This is a full time, 40 hour role. Candidates need to be able to drive and have had a license for 3 years for insurance purposes.Hillside is a residential service, located just outside of Burnley. We provide support to three individuals, aged 17 years and above, who are on the autistic spectrum or who have a learning disability. We also cater for those who may have a mental health diagnosis, including a personality disorder.
Set within a beautiful rural setting, in the South Pennines area, we aim to help residents create and achieve goals, in order to lead a fulfilled and enriched life.
The service can also meet the needs of those who:
- Present with moderate to significant challenging behaviour
- May have communication difficulties
- Have other conditions such as epilepsy and Prader-Willi syndrome
What you'll be doing
You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the service and to support the wellbeing of our residents. While your role doesn’t involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.- Maintains a well-decorated, safe and comfortable environment throughout the site, in line with quality standards, and follows work processes which comply with statutory regulations.
- Ensures that Priory minimum standards are delivered in all site areas in a timely and efficient manner, as part of a team.
- Undertakes regular internal and external patrols of the unit and its grounds, ensuring that all the windows and doors are closed and locked as appropriate to the time of day.
- Carry out compliance testing (i.e. fire alarms, bed inspections, vehicle checks) as instructed by the Maintenance Manager
