About This Role
As the Strategy & Operations Lead (Associate Director) for the Alzheimer's Business Unit you will fill a critical leadership role, with accountability for the advancement of Biogen’s Alzheimer’s franchise strategy and the management of business unit operations and strategic initiatives.
In this position, you will need to have experience influencing across the multitude of cross functional partners engaged in advancing Biogen’s work in Alzheimer’s Disease, to lead key initiatives and manage operations. This role requires an individual who has familiarity with decision making frameworks, clarifying roles & responsibilities, and driving accountability to support team success.
What You’ll Do
- Lead annual planning cycle efforts including the Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Disease Area Strategic Plan, goals as well as supporting other planning activities such as annual operating plan (AOP) and long-range planning (LRP)
- Lead communications planning for key milestones and events for Biogen and Alzheimer’s Disease more broadly
- Support the Alzheimer’s Business Unit Weekly Portfolio & Pipeline Committee meeting for high-functioning meeting framework
- Establish initiatives/workstreams to accomplish the Alzheimer’s Business Unit, owning the dashboard, timelines, and project management

Your level of organization can help facilitate decision making and your ability to engage with others allows the organization to act with greater agility.
Qualifications
- 7+ years’ experience facilitating / leading complex cross-functional projects with accountability for results and timeline management
- 3+ years in pharma or biotech with drug development, finance, or commercialization experience
- Excellent communication skills with experience building trust across a diverse group of stakeholders and fostering a positive, can-do culture
- Demonstrated strong planning, organization, analytics, decision making, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to drive initiatives
Education: Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
