Associate Analyst, Enterprise IT Security- Hybrid (FL)

The Associate Analyst Information Security supports the organization's cybersecurity initiatives by assisting in the review, analysis, and enhancement of its security infrastructure. Under the guidance of senior security professionals—including analysts, engineers, and architects—this role contributes to the protection of enterprise systems and data through hands-on involvement in security operations, compliance monitoring, risk management, and audit support.

This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to build a career in cybersecurity, offering exposure to a broad range of security functions and technologies within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Hybrid arrangement is defined as (3) three days in office, (2) two days optional Remote.

Ideal candidates will be within a commutable distance to the Acosta Office in Jacksonville, FL.  

Essential Functions:

• Security Monitoring & Incident Response: Continuously monitor security tools (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS) to detect and respond to potential threats. Investigate alerts to determine root cause and assess validity.
• Customer Support & Audit Readiness: Address security-related inquiries and concerns from internal stakeholders. Collect, organize, and manage audit evidence to support compliance efforts.
• Policy & Standards Management: Develop, update, and maintain cybersecurity policies, standards, and operational procedures to align with best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Vulnerability Management: Conduct vulnerability assessments and collaborate with asset owners to prioritize and remediate high-risk findings.
• Security Awareness & Compliance: Support organizational security awareness initiatives, including training sessions and phishing simulations. Monitor adherence to security policies.
• Risk Management & Reporting: Maintain the enterprise risk register and assist in risk mitigation activities. Generate reports to evaluate the effectiveness of security controls and inform leadership.
• General Duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:

• Associate’s or higher degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or Computer Science is preferred. 
• Vocational or technical training in IT or Cybersecurity is also considered
• Network Security certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, or equivalent) is desirable.

Professional Experience

• 0 - 3 years of experience in IT cybersecurity or related information technology field, including internships, co-op programs, or academic projects demonstrating applicable skills
• Exposure to antivirus and endpoint protection tools such as McAfee, Carbon Black, through coursework, internships, or hands-on projects
• Basic understanding of intrusion detection/prevention systems and threat detection technologies; familiarity gained through academic study or practical experience is a plus
