Position Specific Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Corporate Real Estate Representative, focused on environmental factors, to join our team at NextEra Energy. The position requires a deep understanding of forestry, vegetation, and environmental factors or concerns. The primary responsibility of this role is to identify, negotiate, and secure land lease agreements with landowners and management companies to support solar optimization for Florida Power & Light (FPL).
The ideal candidate will be able to travel up to 35% of the month within the state of Florida to visit solar sites and meet with landowners and management companies.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with landowners, management companies, and key stakeholders to negotiate favorable leasing terms and agreements.
• Aid in execution of land improvement strategies for existing solar and future solar builds
• Clearly explain NextEra Energy's solar development plans and benefits to landowners while addressing any environmental concerns or factors related to the land.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including environmental, legal, and engineering departments, to ensure compliance with necessary regulations and standards.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to assess the suitability of land for solar development and identify potential risks and challenges.
• Prepare and present reports, proposals, and other relevant documentation to internal and external stakeholders.
• Stay updated on industry trends, policies, and regulations related to solar energy and real estate to provide expert guidance and insights.
Job Overview
This job is responsible for advising and assisting with site selection, site acquisition, easements, leasing, licensing, customer management and other functions relating to land acquisition, negotiation and sale. An employee in this job will research information, evaluate and process requests and build strong customer relationships on behalf of the Company.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Evaluates requests and develops new business related to the licensing or granting of other rights of Company properties
• Researches property information, develops rental rate estimates, conducts negotiations, and manages the proposal and changes of agreements with potential tenants
• Processes requests and business in a timely manner, sometime under short notice
• Builds relationships to effectively support the customers and conduct business
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
• High School Grad / GED
• Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
• Experience: 4+ years
Preferred Qualifications
• Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
• Decision Making

• Effective Written Communications
