Finance Technology is a global engineering organization that builds and operates the platforms that power the firm’s global Finance function. We partner closely with Finance to modernize Finance architecture, enhance data quality, automate workflows, and apply advanced analytics and AI to increase accuracy, efficiency, and control. We act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing technology solutions to support the management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm’s financial and capital resources. We protect the Morgan Stanley franchise by serving as guardian of the Firm's books and records, and by contributing to Firmwide risk management and risk reduction.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Technology leader within the Global General Ledger Technology organization within Finance Technology, partnering with the key Finance users. The role will be responsible for building out the Architecture of SAP and integrating it with the in-house systems. The role will be responsible for setting strategy, delivering technology solutions, and developing a high-performing engineering team.

The ideal candidate would be a forward-thinking, hands-on technology leader who brings deep understanding of General Ledger domain, strong engineering skills, and passion for using modern data and AI to transform how GL operates at Morgan Stanley.

Key Responsibilities

· Oversee architecture, design, development, testing, and deployment of GL platforms

· Ensure system scalability, data quality, resiliency, and operational control

· Promote best practices in workflow automation, DevOps, and data engineering

Required Skills

· GL and SAP Domain Expertise.

· Hands-on engineering leadership and problem-solving

· Strong data engineering and data modelling experience

· Excellent communicator

· Highly organized, flexible, and able to operate in a fast-paced environment

· Proven people manager with experience growing and motivating teams

Desired skills

· Experience applying AI/ML to business workflows, analytics, or automation

· Proficiency with workflow tools and Microsoft technologies

· Vendor management experience
