VISALIA Transportation Utility - 2nd Shift

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF JOB: The successful bidder will be responsible for assisting the Transportation Dept in the sheeting process, material handling, strapping of product for shipment and general floor duties. Candidate must have mechanical aptitude & must be able to safely operate material handling equipment. Candidate must be able to understand basic computer skills including skid control procedures. Candidate must be able to learn quality requirements and record statistical data as required. Candidate must also participate in the PM of the Finch Mainline/Unitizer.   SPECIAL EDUCATION SKILLS, TRAINING OR QUALIFICATIONS THAT ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS JOB: Candidate must possess/obtain process thinking. He/she must have the ability to master multiple job functions. Candidate must be able to assist in the sheeter operation. He/she must be able to strap loads both automatically and using hand strapping equipment. A lift operator certification is required. Candidate must be able to handle loads quickly and safely. Must have: Ability to read, write, and speak English.   TRIAL PERIOD REQUIRED: 90 Days
