Global Energy Management (GEM) is the platform responsible for the integrated global management of energy in the EDP Group. EDP GEM Portugal is the company that is part of this global platform, in Portugal and intend to recruit an Energy Trader for the Market Access area.

Main responsibilities:

• Execute the purchase and sale of energy, fuel, CO2 financial products and other products related to energy management - by operating in organized markets and/or bilateral/OTC in order to implement the proprietary trading and hedging strategy defined by the GEM;
• Ability to have a fast adaptability to the market context: volatility, turbulence, regulatory changes and the change of the mix of products being traded;Counterparty relationship management;
• Ability to analyze reports/presentations related to Commodities Markets and Area Trends;
• Collect and analyze data related to executions, volumes and market trends.

 

Looking for people with the following requirements:

• Bachelor or Masters in Economics, Management, Engineering, Mathematics or Physics;
• Maximum of 5 years of professional experience in a similar position:
  • Notion of how financial markets work (preferably commodities) as well as available assets is valued;
  • Programming and Data analytics skills are valued.
• Capacity of adaptation to fast changing environments;
• Notion of urgency and priority;
• Good cooperation skills with other teams;
• Detail oriented and problems solving skills;
• Good verbal and written communication skills with strong networking capability;
• Fluent English and Spanish is valued;
• Availability to work 100% in the office.
