Road Freight Forwarding Manager

ManpowerGroup, on behalf of an international IATA Transport Company with services in Air, Sea and Road freight, is in search of a Road Freight Forwarding Manager to join the company’s office in Piraeus.

Responsibilities:

The successfully evaluated candidate will be responsible of developing the Road services division, by finding and developing customers, planning and organizing cargo shipments within national and international areas and setting up lines throughout Europe, with Groupage Cargo Transport. He/She will be also managing a team of 3.

More specifically he/she will be:

• Communicating with carriers and negotiating the best way to send the cargo to its destination which can be a single customer or a point of distribution

• Setting up lines across Europe
• Developing relationships with customers
• Regulating road freight transport, serving international agreements (CMR)
• Organizing & managing loads
• Booking & Tracking loads and trucks

• Communicating & Informing customers about the progress of their loads/cargos
• Preparing financial offers

Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience in Road Forwarding/Groupage Operation or Cargo Consolidation

• University or college degree in Shipping/Maritime/Logistics will be considered an asset
• Mandatory experience in Groupage Cargo Transport
• Experience in managing a team
• Excellent use of English language (written & spoken)
• Excellent use of systems & MS Office Suite
