Position: Teacher, Electives
Salary Schedule/Base Annual Rate (Subject to Change): $54,540 (Amount is pro-rated based on work schedule). Additional credit for related years of service and education.
Work Calendar: 10 months, 200 days
Hours: Part-time, 20 hours per week
FLSA Status: Exempt
Benefits: Eligible for benefits the first of the month following the new hire date
Reports to: Principal

About the Role
While under the direct supervision of the Principal and District Coordinator of Career and Technical Education, the Teacher will provide sound and consistent instruction to students, modifying curriculum as needed, to support academic growth that enables each student to reach their full potential.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Supports the Mission, Vision, and Goals of J.O. Combs Unified School District
- Facilitates CTE student organization activities and operations
- Seeks community support and resources for CTE program advisory council
- Provides students with work-based learning experiences related to the CTE program.
- Complies with Arizona revised statutes, district policies and administrative guidelines.
- Provides documentation for Local, Federal and State program reporting.
- Promotes and follows the adopted school district philosophy, policies, regulations, and administrative procedures
- Creates a weekly written lesson plan describing daily learning experiences that are correlated with the objectives in the curriculum guide and/or course outline
- Maintains the physical environment of the classroom for organization and maximum instruction opportunities
- Communicates objectives to students in a well-planned, organized manner using clear and precise language
- Uses effective teaching techniques and materials to implement established curriculum goals and objectives
- Identifies, selects, and modifies instructional resources to meet the needs of the students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs
- Implements a variety of effective instructional strategies consistent with lesson objectives
- Uses multiple assessment methods to monitor and assess student progress to adjust instruction and provide feedback on a regular basis to students and their parents.
- Develops and implements reasonable classroom rules of behavior and procedure in a fair and just manner
- Diagnoses, instructs, and evaluates specific student needs and seeks assistance of district specialists as required
- Effectively collaborates with department and grade level teachers
- Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, and other professionals on a regular basis to discuss students' progress and interpret the school program
- Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom
- Administers group standardized tests in accordance with state testing program
- Participates in Professional Learning Communities
- Models professional and ethical standards when dealing with stud
