Are you looking to help make a difference in the lives of children with behavioral challenges (autism, disruptive mood disorder, intellectual delays etc.)? We have the spot for you on our growing nursing team at Neuro Restorative Clearwater.
We are a 24 bed Residential Treatment Center that care for children from out of state, that require applied behavior therapy. Our participants live on campus, attend school and therapy on campus and consider this their temporary home. The changes we see from when our participants arrive to when they leave to discharge home or to another lower level of care is very rewarding and heart warming. It gives validation to the work that we do.
As a nurse at our program, duties for nursing focus on medication administration, responding to medical emergencies or issues, collaboration of care with physicians and clinical/residential team, and oversight of the safe application of holds that may be required due to escalated behavior. We encourage our nurses to interact with the participants whenever possible and provide the upmost possible care.
A background in psychiatric and/or pediatric nursing is preferred as is at least 2 years experience as a nurse. Strong critical decision making and problem solving skills are helpful. CPR with First Aid is required. Training in our CPI strategies will be done during your orientation training.
If this sounds like the job for you, we would love to have you come on board.
