General Description: This Quality Engineer Role will oversee the Internal Audit and Corrective Action & Improvement Program.
Duties/Responsibilities:•Oversee HRL's Internal Audit Program as Lead Auditor, including the training and scheduling of internal auditors, as well as managing the internal audit schedule.•Administer HRL's Corrective Action and Improvement Program, including the use and training of root cause analysis tools.•Oversee the Quality metrics for all AS9100 departments.•Develop and administer training associated to focus areas of corrective actions and improvements, and internal audits.•Works with all parts of the company to maintain and improve the QMS set in place with AS9100, MIL standard requirements and for transition of new initiatives. •Cross training on other elements of the QMS to support Quality team as back up.•May be required to access the clean room.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:•Working within a formal Quality Management Systems (QMS), such as AS9100/ISO 9001. •Lead auditor, managing the internal audit schedule and auditor pool.•Planning and implementing corrective actions and improvements.•Facilitating and using problem solving using root cause analysis tools (i.e. 5-Why, Fishbone, etc.).•Preparing and undergoing 3rd party AS9100/ISO9001 audits.•Developing training materials associated to primary responsibilities and administering per schedule.•Application, development and use of metrics to drive improvements.
Education and Experience:•BS in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or related fields, or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience.•Application of industry standards, i.e. AS9100/ISO9001.•Root cause analysis tools and applications.•Organized, detail oriented with demonstrated time management and analytical abilities.•Collaborative with teams and customers.•Self-directed, flexible and able to manage multiple projects. •Technical writing, presentation, and communication skills.•Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Physical Requirements: •Onsite work is required.•Physically capable to work within a class 10 Clean room.
Special Requirements:•U.S. Citizenship is required. •Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is preferred.
Compensation:The base salary range for this full-time position is $59,000 - $98,000 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details listed reflect the base salary only, and do not include potential bonus or benefits.
