Job Description
The Financial Accounting Manager will serve as a vital member of our accounting and finance organization. The candidate would work closely with Vitol’s mid and back-office team in Houston. The team is comprised of individuals who have a proven track record of expanding their value-added impact far more broadly than a traditional accounting role would allow. The candidate will serve as an expert on the financial health and performance of our legal entities in the Americas. The candidate will be tasked with providing meaningful analyses used in decision-making processes.
Job Duties Include:
- Supporting investment and deal teams in new business integration and/or sales processes
- Regularly engaging in discussions with cross-functional teams to understand business processes and monitor/improve financial controls
- Performing the accounting month-end close processes for various legal entities
- Performing monthly/quarterly analyses to be reviewed by the Executive and Senior Management team to aid in decision making
- Supporting the annual external audit process
- Other duties as assigned. This job description is subject to change at any time

Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of financial reporting / Public audit experience required
- CPA license required
- Experience in renewables or power sector is strongly preferred
