Executive General Manager

Job Summary:

Wantable Cafe is seeking an experienced and motivated Executive General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our café and event team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, a strong business acumen, and excellent leadership skills. The General Manager will be responsible for ensuring that our café and event space operate efficiently and profitably while maintaining high standards of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the café and event space
• Manage and develop a team of employees, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management
• Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability, such as creating new menu items, increasing event bookings, and implementing cost-saving measures
• Ensure that the café and event space are clean, well-maintained, and meet all health and safety regulations
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, event planners, vendors, and community organizations
• Collaborate with leadership and event teams to develop and execute marketing and promotional campaigns
• Monitor financial performance and create strategic plans to maximize profitability
• Maintain inventory levels and manage purchasing and ordering of supplies and equipment
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices and make recommendations for improvements to operations and customer experience

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business management, hospitality management, or a related field.
• 10 years of executive-level experience in the hospitality industry, with a track record of successful leadership and management of multiple locations.
• Proven experience in developing and executing strategic plans, budgets, and financial analysis.
• Strong experience in building and leading teams, with a demonstrated ability to recruit, train, and develop high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, employees, vendors, and community organizations.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to navigate complex challenges and opportunities.
• Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and profitability, with experience in developing and executing marketing and promotional campaigns.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements, with experience in managing risk and ensuring compliance.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, with experience in building and maintaining partnerships and alliances.
