Corporate Audit Services (CAS) is ING Group’s Internal Audit function, a dynamic global organization with over 400 talented auditors across major locations. In CAS, we provide independent assurance to the Executive Board, the Supervisory Board and the Audit Committee on the quality and effectiveness of ING’s internal control, risk management, governance and implemented systems and processes. CAS has a well-established position in the bank, endorsed by the Institute of Internal Auditors.

The opportunity

As an Audit Specialist V within the MQA & COO team, you will be based in Amsterdam and work in a hybrid setup. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and effective operation of ING’s global audit function. Reporting directly to the Global Head of MQA & COO, you will coordinate and/or contribute across a broad range of domains, including risk assessment and audit planning, audit methodology and quality assurance, data analytics, (Gen) AI and innovation, data- and information-management, regulatory review coordination, periodic audit reporting to the Board and Audit Committee, audit education and training, systems and tooling, people and cost oversight, central communications and CAS-wide (Global Leadership Team) events, talent and young professional programs, participation in external CAS networks, and CAS function specific non-financial risk and compliance matters. You will frequently assist the CAS Global Leadership Team, driving and aligning initiatives across the MQA & COO domain and translating the Audit Strategy into tangible, impactful outcomes.

• Qualifications & Certifications: You hold a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree (preferably with honors) and at least one audit certification (e.g., CIA, CPA, RA, RO).

• Strategic Audit Leadership: You bring over seven years of experience leading complex, cross-border audit initiatives, with a strong track record of influencing senior stakeholders and delivering results aligned with global audit strategy.

• Methodology & Quality Expertise: You have deep knowledge of audit methodology and quality assurance, and have led the development or enhancement of frameworks, tools, or training programs to improve audit effectiveness.

• Innovation & Data Fluency: You are comfortable working with data analytics and emerging technologies (e.g., GenAI), and have applied them to improve audit processes, insights, or reporting.

• Training & Communication Skills: You are experienced in designing and delivering high-impact training and communications for diverse audiences, including senior management and global teams.

• Organizational Agility: You understand CAS internal processes and governance, and can navigate complex environments to drive initiatives across domains such as regulatory coordination, reporting, and talent development.

• Resilient & Forward-Thinking: You embody the Orange Code mindset—“Take it on and make it happen”—with a proactive, solution-oriented approach and the ability to prioritize under pressure.
