About the role
Transcend is hiring for a Staff Accountant to join the Finance & Accounting Team. This role will power up all accounting operations under the guidance of the Senior Accounting Manager.What you'll do
Procure-to-Pay Processes:
Oversee various aspects of Procure-to-Pay processes including:
Process vendor bills and secure department approvals.
Review employee expense reports for policy compliance and approval.
Coordinate weekly vendor payment runs.
Conduct reconciliations and analysis for balance sheet accounts at month-end.
Coordinate and file 1099 vendor government reporting.
Order-to-Collect Initiatives:
Perform day-to-day operations of the Order-to-Collect process, including:
Assist with invoicing and customer collections.
Apply customer payments received to outstanding invoices.
Resolve customer account discrepancies and communicate with customers regarding delinquent accounts and insufficient payments.
Conduct reconciliations and analysis for balance sheet accounts at month-end.
System Enhancement and Automation Projects:
Support system enhancement and automation projects.
General Accounting Support:
Assist with ad hoc requests, provide documentation for external audits, and special projects as needed.
Analytical and Self-Motivated: Experience thriving in high-growth environments.
Collaborative Demeanor: Positive, collaborative approach with hands-on capabilities.
Professional Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Industry Experience: Experience in high-growth companies, preferably within the Software SaaS industry.
Adaptability: Ability to manage day-to-day responsibilities while adapting to changing priorities.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail, process orientation, and proficiency in systems.
Software Proficiency: Experience with Microsoft Excel, Bill, Brex, and Quickbooks is advantageous.
Time Management: Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
Organizational Skills: Outstanding organizational skills and a collaborative team mindset.
