Position: Senior Cybersecurity 
Location: Austin, Texas
Employment Type: W2 ONLY 
Experience Required: 12+ years in Cybersecurity

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor degree in computer science Information Technology, or a related field.
Master's degree preferred.
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive cybersecurity strategies and policies.
Oversee and conduct advanced threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
Manage incident response activities, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security controls are integrated into system designs and architectures.
Stay abreast of emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies, providing recommendations for enhancements.
Mentor and guide junior cybersecurity staff, fostering a culture of security awareness.
Required Skills and Experience:

Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity roles, with at least 5 years in a senior or leadership position.
In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and best practices (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
Proven experience with network security, application security, cloud security, and endpoint protection.
Strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a specific industry (e.g., finance, healthcare, government) with relevant regulatory knowledge.
Hands-on experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and integrating security into the software development lifecycle.
