Technical Product Specialist

Sumitomo Electric Lightwave is now focusing on optical fiber cable connectivity product business for data center market. The technical product specialist position is required to perform two functions. The first is technical discussion with the customers or internal team to decide the product design spec or analyze the product performance data. The second is to analyze the product performance using optical test equipment or microscope etc, and then to make the report. Must requirement is to be able to speak not only English but also Japanese fluently and to have excellent communication skill in order to collaborate Japanese teams/US team often. It is preferable that the technical product specialist has the knowledge of optical fiber, connector, panel and enclosure, the experience of optical performance measuring, and the middle class 3D modeling technique of mechanical design of metal or resin components with 3D CAD. The work office is located in Irvine CA.  Education:  Four Year Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Optical, Electrical or Other Technical Based Degree)                                                                        |Experience:  Field(s) and Number of Years         |Two or more years’ experience in Fiber Optic based network field desired but not required
